The Lab Technician is an entry-level position responsible for producing custom orthotics from prescription forms while following established company standards, quality requirements, and production procedures. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to accurately interpret prescription information, and a willingness to develop technical knowledge of orthotic products and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret prescription forms and order information accurately.
- Produce custom orthotics according to prescription requirements and company quality standards.
- Follow established lab procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity while managing multiple orders and priorities.
- Communicate questions or concerns regarding prescriptions, products, or quality requirements to the appropriate team members.
- Previous experience in an orthotics, medical device, manufacturing, or laboratory environment.
- Experience working with prescription-based products or custom manufacturing.
- Previous experience with orthotic fabrication, modifications, accommodations, or finishing.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and documentation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to use hand tools and perform detailed work requiring manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a production/laboratory environment.
