Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a 12-week night shift assignment requiring BLS, CPI certification, and UT or compact RN license.

• Active RN license (UT or compact) required
• Current BLS and CPI certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Trauma Informed Care experience preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) with 14 beds, staffed with 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, and 2 techs per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:7 on BHU
• Uses Welch Allyn vital signs machines, bladder scanner, and basic equipment such as thermometers and glucometers
• EMR system is Meditech Magic
• Night shift schedule from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• Rotating weekends required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to Alcohol and Chemical Treatment (ACT) unit may be required
• Perform nursing assessments, glucose checks, medication administration, and lab monitoring
• Navy scrub color required per facility dress code
• Candidates with patience and kindness are a strong personality fit for this unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
