Responsibilities- Checking out, checking in, inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining outdoor equipment.
- Registering participants for adventure programs.
- Handling loading and unloading of equipment to and from vehicles.
- Assisting with equipment reservation, rental, inspection, and maintenance.
- Providing customers with information about locations and suggestions for outdoor recreation.
- Providing general instructions on the use of outdoor equipment.
- Performing emergency care procedures in the event of injury or emergency.
- Other duties as specified by the Outdoor Program Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator, and/or Rental Manager.
- General knowledge of outdoor equipment and its use.
- CPR/AED and Standard First Aid Certification.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Excellent customer service at all times.
- Professional and attentive presence.
- Proficiency in equipment reservation, rental, inspection, and maintenance.
- Current CPR and First-aid certifications.
- Attendance at mandatory monthly meetings, orientations, and staff development workshops.
- Assistance with the loading and unloading of equipment to and from vehicles.
- Understanding of employee policies and procedures as stated in the Outdoor Program employee policy and procedures manual.
- Assisting with maintenance and cleanliness of the Outdoor Program.
- Registering participants for adventure programs, clinics, and workshops.
- Providing customers with information about locations and suggestions for outdoor recreation.
- Providing general instructions on the use of outdoor equipment.
- Following emergency care procedures.
- Performing other duties as specified by the Outdoor Program Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator and/or Rental Manager.
- Knowledgeable of Campus Recreation programs and services.
- Preference given to those with Federal Work Study status.
