** Job Summary
** Better Being is looking for a Quality Control Technician to perform visual inspections on product samples and reports results. The Quality Control Technician will report to the Operations Manager.
** Essential Functions
*** Performs visual inspections on product samples and reports results.
* Generates quality data (NCMR’s, audits) and reports results.
* Under supervision, directs the disposition of quality issues.
* Reviews production processes for accuracy throughout bottling.
* Creates and files retain samples.
* Ensures that manufacturing personnel are adhering to GMP practices.
* Notifies QA management of quality issues.
* May require maintaining documentation and records of production work orders, audits and NCMRs.
* May require assisting in responding to internal and external complaints and requests.
** Additional Responsibilities
*** Provides support on quality projects.
* May be required to drive personal vehicle for job related purposes.
* Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.
* Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
** Job Qualifications
*** Ability to effectively communicate to all levels in the organization, through both verbal and written means.  Must have high level of interpersonal skills.
* High School diploma required; some college or technical school training is preferred; a combination of education and work experience will be considered.
* Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and have good problem-solving skills.
** Physical Requirements
*** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
* The employee must exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
