Perform Laser Tracker and/or Articulated Arm inspection under the direction of the Quality Manager and/or Inspection Supervisor.

• Measure fabricated and machined parts and tooling in shop and field locations using PCMM system.
• Assist production and machining supervisors in providing in-process measurements.
• Analyze results and propose solutions to rectify unacceptable conditions.
• Assist in making adjustments and corrections to parts/tooling/machinery as required.
• Provide calibration services (internal and external) using the PCMM’s.
• Maintain safe work environment.

• Proficient at reading mechanical, structural, tooling and aerospace type drawings
• Thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ANSI Y14.5.
• Proficient computer skills using spreadsheets and word-processing.
• Working knowledge of coordinate systems
• Working knowledge of lasers and optics
• Working knowledge of articulated arms
• Working knowledge of other inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.
• Ability to analyze complex geometries and find solutions (CAD background desirable)
• Working knowledge of Verisurf.

High School Education preferred. Experience with Laser tracker, Arm, CMM or comparable work history.

• Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.

• Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.
• Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Requires mobility to access difficult inspection access areas.
• Requires manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to properly use necessary equipment.
• Requires eyesight correctable to within normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions or possible irregular hours.

Works in a typical fabrication and machine shop and field site environments. Works in varied conditions, such as outside and inside facility work due to size and complexity of product.
