Position: Donation Center Attendant I

Position Summary

Accept donations on behalf of Goodwill at our standalone or storefront donation centers. Provide excellent customer service to donors.

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the assigned donation center site according to schedule.
  • Accept donations following the guidelines in the Standalone and Storefront Donation Attendant Training Manual, greeting donors and accurately completing donation receipts.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior of the site in a clean and organized manner, including sweeping, trash removal, and UDC upkeep.
  • Accurately complete daily administrative tasks, including donor counts and receipt submission.
  • Safeguard all donations and company property from damage and theft.
  • Communicate supply needs and safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or coordinator.
  • Safely load donations into bins and organize them inside donation trailers.
  • Assist truck helpers and drivers in loading donations into Goodwill trucks, if needed.
  • Communicate daily with Dispatch regarding current product volumes and transportation needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications

Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred.

Experience: Six months to one year of customer service experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and basic administrative skills.
