The botanical crew leader will coordinate the day‑to‑day operations of a field crew examining the ecology of invasive annual grasses as well as conduct laboratory and greenhouse work with invasive plants. Selected candidate must be able to comfortably travel and camp in remote areas.
Required Qualifications- Associate’s degree in biology or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Six months of botanical experience
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- A valid Utah Driver’s license is a condition of employment
- B.S. in botany, environmental science, biology, or a related degree.
- Experience with field botany
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Effective communication skills and problem‑solving
- Ability to work collaboratively
