A position has been declared open in the Weber School District for the Athletic Director at West Field High School for the upcoming school year .

Under the direction of the principal, the Athletic Director will support the school administration in facilitating the successful direction and operation of all athletic/extracurricular programs at the high school. The AD will schedule and coordinate all components of athletic events at the school and at off-site events. The AD oversees and ensures athletic eligibility for students for all sports/activities and ensures that all coaches have appropriate Utah High School Athletic Association (UHSAA) required certification prior to the start of the athletic/extracurricular season.

The AD facilitates the appropriate use of athletic budgets with individual coaches and programs. They may also be required to travel with athletic teams on overnight events as determined by the local school principal.

West Field High School opens for the 2024-25 school year. During the 2023-24 school year, the Athletic Director will be responsible for ordering all athletic equipment, overseeing the completion of the facilities, hiring and training coaches, overseeing the scheduling of games, and other duties to help prepare the school for competition during the 2024-25 school year. They will also help with similar duties at Mountain View Junior High School until their Athletic Director is hired later in the year.

ATTENDANCE IS AN ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THIS JOB OPPORTUNITY.

• Valid Utah teaching license
• Head coaching experience
• Knowledge of UHSAA rules and policies
• Willingness to earn NIAAA Certified Athletic Administrator Certification within 3 years
