SummaryThe Autism Therapy Assistant position is a key role within our organization. You will implement your patient’s individualized program written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), you will help your patient learn new skills in areas such as social, communication, vocational, and life skills. Services are provided in the most appropriate setting for the patient, including therapy centers, homes, schools, workplaces, and other community-based settings.
The role offers variety as each day may look different.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and engage in physical activities related to therapy
- RBT certification (if not certified at time of offer, must be attained during orientation/training; staff are paid for training and Little Star covers costs)
Position operates in a clinical environment and may involve offsite locations including patients’ homes, schools, or places of employment. This role is not eligible for telecommuting and may require working at multiple sites with multiple patients.
Physical DemandsThe role requires a physically active work environment, with the ability to stand, walk, run, climb stairs, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds; may involve providing physical management as needed.
