Role Responsibilities:

• Applying appropriate therapeutic theories and standards in practice.
• Assessing patient needs considering cultural, religious, and physical disabilities to determine capabilities for group and individual activities.
• Documenting patient responses to interventions and progress.
• Completing assessments timely and contributing to workload balance among therapists.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience in a psychiatric healthcare setting, with familiarity with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients preferred.
• Current unencumbered certification/license/registration as per state guidelines.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of hire. Flexibility to work varied hours, including holidays and overtime.
