- Supervise unit, perform and provide written/verbal care assignments, routine skills and procedures to ensure the quality of care to residents.
- Supervise and participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans.
- Document progress and make recommendations for revisions to care plans.
- Assist DON/ADON with the coordination, management and monitoring of the review of nurse’s notes to determine if the care plan is being followed.
- Supervise staff in monitoring each resident’s psychological functions, fluid balance, elimination, electrolyte status, laboratory results, respiratory status, neurological status and nutritional status to detect deviations from normal and gauge progress.
- Make rounds with the physician.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents' rights and privacy are protected at all times.
- Complete necessary documentation and teaching of residents for admissions, transfers and discharge according to policy and procedures.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid LPN or RN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements.
- Have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe and effective nursing practices within the State of employment.
- Ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
- Ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPAA.
- Ability to adhere to professional code of ethics.
