This role is within the Commercial Tax Services (CTS) Department. The position involves preparing federal and state tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for various clients including C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, and Individuals.

• Prepares federal and state tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual)
• Organizes tax information and assists with tax notices and examinations
• Assists with tax audits, performs light research projects, and monitors and reviews financial information
• Communicates with Senior and/or Manager on work status and client issues that arise.
• Collaborates with other tax professionals within the firm to share knowledge and ensure deliverables are completed with quality and professional excellence.
• Participates in training programs and professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge and develop industry-specific expertise.

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in taxation preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting
• Possess general knowledge of federal and state tax laws – corporate, individual, trust, gifts, and partnership taxation
• CPA eligibility preferred
  
  Be able to apply basic accounting principles to engagements
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be highly motivated and able to work individually and in a team setting
• Have outstanding analytical, organizational and project management skills
• Have the ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess, Sureprep, XCM and Caseware is a plus
