Accounting Clerk

A&A Safety has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in the Cincinnati, Ohio area as an accounting clerk. As a member of the accounting team, the accounting clerk contributes directly to the company’s success by ensuring that financial information is recorded timely and accurately to allow management to assess the company’s success.

The accounting clerk position includes a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to help you achieve long‑term success within the company.

These job duties are examples of what could be requested of this position, however, not all duties will be day‑to‑day functions.

• Prepare sales and rental invoices
• Apply incoming payments to appropriate accounts
• Process credit card payments
• Assist with daily bank deposits
• Research and resolve application issues for incoming payments
• Work with customers to resolve invoicing issues
• Assist with entry and verification of AP invoices
• Code invoices to correct G/L accounts
• Process weekly check run
• Issue checks as needed between check runs
• Communicate with vendors about payments and/or questions on open invoices. Do any necessary research as needed.
• File open and paid invoices
• Process monthly company credit card expense reports
• Monthly Fuel and Cell Phone bill preparation
• W-9 tracking and processing 1099’s at end of the year
• Assist in preparing monthly inventory valuation reports
• Assist with month end
• Answer phones when needed
• Assist with other duties as needed

• 2+ years of accounting experience or a degree in business.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations to management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
