Harris Battery Company is seeking a hands‑on Controller to oversee accounting operations and support broader business functions. This role is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, take ownership of day‑to‑day accounting responsibilities, and serve as a trusted partner to ownership.

The Controller will be part of the management and leadership team and will have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and long‑term growth initiatives. This is a fully on‑site role in Bolivar, Ohio.

• Oversee daily accounting operations including billing, accounts payable, and journal entries
• Prepare and analyze financial information to support management decisions
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and support timely close processes
• Assist with resource management and operational planning efforts
• Provide basic IT coordination and system oversight as needed
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies
• Collaborate closely with ownership on financial and operational initiatives

• Proven experience in accounting or Controller‑level roles
• Strong hands‑on accounting skills in a small or mid‑size business environment
• Ability to work independently and manage a wide range of responsibilities
• Experience with billing, accounts payable, journal entries, and financial analysis
• Exposure to operations, resource management, or IT support is a plus
• Leadership mindset with interest in contributing beyond traditional accounting duties
