Accounting Manager

Join our dynamic team, where you will play a key role in managing our accounting procedures. We're seeking a detail-oriented, motivated individual who excels in a collaborative environment. Under limited supervision, you will assist Accounting management in performing multiple duties related to the accounting functions of the organization within established deadlines. You will also maintain accounting procedures associates with cost accounting while providing backup for other accounting functions as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support with daily activities to be J-SOX compliant;
• Compile quarterly reports for our mother company;
• Assist in compiling year-end audited financial statements under IFRS standards with eliminations;
• Compile K-Group and consolidated budgets and long-term plans on an as requested basis;
• Assist in compiling financial analytics on an as requested basis;
• Create reports to assist management on ways to manage costs;
• Help production management identify cost drivers and cost reduction plans;
• Is aware and accepts the responsibility regarding internal controls and compliance with JSOX.

Other Responsibilities:

• Other accounting functions, but not limited to budgeting, fixed assets, material costing, physical inventory valuations, month end, census surveys, and year end activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or five years of equivalent accounting experience;
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices;
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software; experience with Plex is a plus;
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills;
• Ability to excel in a team environment;
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
