Bookkeeper

Location: Minster

Description We are looking for a detail-focused Bookkeeper to join our team in Ohio on a contract basis. This position will support day-to-day accounting operations, including payroll, payables, receivables, and financial record maintenance for a workforce of approximately 205 employees. The ideal candidate brings strong bookkeeping experience, sound judgment when handling sensitive information, and the ability to keep month-end activities organized and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

- Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for approximately 205 employees while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

- Oversee accounts payable activities, including reviewing invoices, entering payment details, and supporting timely disbursements.

- Handle accounts receivable functions by tracking incoming payments, maintaining records, and following up on outstanding balances.

- Prepare, organize, and maintain financial documentation to support daily accounting operations and audit readiness.

- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.

- Assist with month-end close by compiling records, verifying transactions, and supporting account balancing.

- Use accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics and Quick Books to record transactions and maintain financial data integrity.

- Protect confidential payroll and financial information by following appropriate controls and high standards. Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial support role.

- Demonstrated experience processing payroll in a fast-paced business environment.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.

- Proficiency with bookkeeping and accounting software, including Microsoft Dynamics;
Quick Books experience is also valuable.

- Experience completing bank reconciliations and supporting month-end accounting activities.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

- Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple financial tasks accurately and efficiently.
