Job DescriptionPOSITION:
- Payroll Specialist
DATE OF AVAILABILITY:
- January 4, 2027
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in payroll processing and governmental fiscal procedures (preferred).
- Proficient in eFinance
Plus (preferred) or State Software. - Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Google Workspace and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to collaborate with others while maintaining confidentiality.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Successful completion of BCI and FBI background checks.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet periods of peak demand.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Treasurer in all phases of school accounting procedures including but not limited to:
- Payroll, Accounts Payable/Receivable, bank reconciliations, daily banking and reporting.
- Prepare accurate semi-monthly payroll for the district.
- Complete all necessary tax reporting as well as all required monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reports.
- Liaison between staff and third-party administrator of insurance and annuity programs.
HOURS:
- Eight (8) hours per day; 260 days per year.

- The salary and benefits package will be competitive within the region and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
