Senior Accountant

Full-time in office, 40hrs/week with an hour lunch break

We are seeking a positive-minded, detail-oriented, and organized individual to join our team for this full-time, in-office position. Responsibilities include various accounting responsibilities, and providing guidance and assistance for other accounting and ticket staff as needed. This role is a great, long-term opportunity for someone looking for a fulfilling job in a tight-knit, well-rounded accounting team.

• Assist A/R & A/P staff with investigating and resolving issues
• Cross train to provide coverage for A/R & A/P
• Assist in month/quarter/year end processes including bank reconciliations and journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and process sales tax filings
• Provide guidance and assistance to accounting/office staff
• Collaborate with dispatch and operations on various projects as needed
• Provide continuous improvement tactics and ideas

Located in East Claridon, Ohio, The Arms Trucking Co. was founded in 1953 and now operates almost 100 trucks consisting of air cans, flatbeds, semi-dumps, and straight truck dumps. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field required
• 5+ years of experience in accounting required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Confidence with general technology including Windows computer hardware/software, ERP systems, and Office 365 products
• High level Excel skills including complex formulas, clean and concise summary sheets, and automation or simplification
• Experience with Quickbooks & Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus
• Proficient in keyboard typing and numeric data entry
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
