Accounting Specialist

Location: Blacklick

Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support a Contract assignment in Blacklick, Ohio. This position will focus on restoring accuracy and timeliness across key accounting activities by resolving outstanding balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with high-priority transactional work. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Perform detailed account reconciliations to clear outstanding items and bring balance sheet records up to date.

- Review accounting data for discrepancies, investigate variances, and help maintain accurate financial records.

- Provide support with accounts payable activities, including processing and validating transactions as needed.

- Assist with accounts receivable and billing-related tasks to help keep routine accounting operations current.

- Prioritize and complete miscellaneous accounting assignments that contribute to reducing accumulated workload.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather supporting documentation and resolve open accounting issues efficiently. Requirements - Experience in account reconciliation within an accounting or finance environment.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes.

- Understanding of general accounting functions and financial record maintenance.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve inconsistencies accurately.

- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively through a high volume of outstanding tasks.

- Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for reconciliation and reporting.
