The Clerical Medical Office Assistant position is part of the
** Wyandot Medical Providers at Carey department
** and is a
** full****-time role working approximately 72 hours per two-week pay period**, primarily during
** day shift hours, Monday through Friday**. This position requires flexibility to accommodate the practitioner’s schedule for vacations, time off, and call-offs.### Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Medical Office Assistant training or experience preferred
* Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
* Strong office, organizational, and clerical skills
* Above-average computer, oral, and written communication skills
* Excellent telephone etiquette, interpersonal abilities, and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions under pressure
* Tact, diplomacy, and professionalism when interacting with patients and staff###
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as receptionist and clerical support, greeting visitors and patients and directing them appropriately
* Answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, and obtain pre-certifications as needed
* Perform general clerical duties including typing, filing, assembling reports, and maintaining patient charts
* Order office supplies and manage inventory as needed
* Collect payments and assist with billing-related tasks
* Assist with special promotions, public relations activities, and patient scheduling for tests outside the office
* Support practitioners and other staff with daily office functions
* Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations and ensure efficient workflow
