Mergers and Acquisitions Manager – Vertiv
Mergers, M&A and Corporate Development
Join us as a Mergers and Acquisitions Manager to drive Vertiv’s inorganic growth strategy through comprehensive financial analysis, due diligence and valuation activities. You will work with business leaders across multiple units to identify, evaluate and execute acquisition and divestiture opportunities.
Responsibilities- Opportunity Evaluation – conduct detailed financial analyses, including valuation modeling and scenario planning, to formulate deal theses.
- Partner with business leaders to prepare financial forecasts and projections, including cost and revenue synergies for potential acquisitions.
- Summarize target valuation and investment recommendations for senior management.
- Transaction Execution – coordinate due diligence processes with cross‑functional stakeholders and third‑party advisors.
- Conduct financial due diligence by analyzing financial statements, market trends, and evaluating prospective companies to identify risks and opportunities.
- Utilize diligence findings to validate or adjust valuation assumptions that support the deal case.
- Prepare comprehensive diligence reports for presentation to senior management.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support negotiation strategies and achieve favorable deal terms.
- Coordinate and project manage deal flow, ensuring efficient communication among stakeholders, and maintain issue registers.
- Strong Analytical Skills – analyze complex data, identify trends and draw actionable conclusions.
- Financial Modeling Expertise – create and maintain financial models, including discounted cash flow and relative valuations.
- Effective Communication – explain complex financial concepts clearly to all levels.
- Collaborative Mindset – work effectively across functions and levels.
- Strategic Thinking – identify opportunities and risks, and develop recommendations to drive growth.
- Bachelor’s Degree in economics, business administration, statistics, computer science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, corporate development, consulting or management consulting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, Fact Set and other relevant software tools.
- Advanced degree (master’s or MBA).
- Industry knowledge of data center and critical infrastructure manufacturing.
