Position Overview
The Construction Superintendent plays a key role in supporting the Construction Site Manager in the day-to-day coordination, supervision, and execution of on-site construction activities. This position ensures that documentation, materials, quality control processes, and contractor performance are effectively managed to maintain progress, compliance, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Documentation & Technical Support- Receive, record, and organise all engineering, supplier, and contractor documents within the project's document management system (M-Files or similar).
- Issue engineering documents to contractors and ensure all teams are working from the latest approved revisions.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to site.
- Verify that received equipment matches the bill of lading; inspect for damage during transport and unloading.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and traceability of all delivered items.
- Maintain complete transport and delivery documentation for audit and control purposes.
- Monitor inventories and ensure required materials and resources are available on time.
- Support the Construction Site Manager in monitoring daily progress against project schedules and contractual obligations.
- Assist in coordinating site activities to ensure efficient and safe execution.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and document progress, quality, and issues.
- Maintain site organisation, cleanliness, and adherence to safety requirements.
- Ensure that quality control procedures are clearly defined, communicated, and followed by all contractors.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, NCRs, corrective actions, and related quality documentation.
- Conduct and support quality audits and inspections across assigned work areas.

- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Valid safety certification (e.g., SCC, VCA) required prior to site induction.
- Additional certification for specialised tasks may be required.
Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in:
- Quality control and inspection
- Installation/erection of industrial equipment
- Strong understanding of industrial construction methods and techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Ability to learn and work within document management systems (e.g., M-Files).
- Solid knowledge of quality control standards and inspection procedures.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Fluent German and strong English (minimum B2) are mandatory.
- Full-time presence required on site (100% site-based).
- Occasional travel to vendor workshops for equipment inspections may be required.
- Flexibility for variable working hours, including potential overtime and weekend work based on project needs.
