Overview

Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who employ over 2,000 and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors to join them on a Data Centre Project in Denmark.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and management of detailed cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
  • Take ownership of contract administration, including negotiation, drafting, and management of subcontractor and supplier agreements.
  • Manage and value complex variations, claims, and change orders, working closely with the commercial team to maximise project profitability and minimise risk.
  • Oversee the preparation of interim valuations and payment applications, ensuring timely and accurate payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct detailed cost control and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle, providing senior management with clear, actionable financial reports.
  • Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors, developing their commercial skills and ensuring consistency in quantity surveying practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers, planners, and engineers to provide commercial input into project decision-making and risk management.
  • Lead the preparation and agreement of final accounts, liaising with clients and subcontractors to ensure full and fair financial closure.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years’ experience in commercial role.
  • A Degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong technical understanding of building construction and processes.
  • Familiarity with various methods of measurement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong business relationships.
  • Data Centre experience is advantageous.
