Do you want to be a part of Northern Europe’s largest construction project?

We are looking for our new Construction Area Manager for Injection and Outfitting for the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link Immersed Tube project, with a focus on reviewing the contractors’ execution method plans and on-site monitoring to ensure that execution and contractors’ own control of the construction works are in accordance with requirements.

The Position

Working alongside the Construction Manager and the other Construction Area Managers, you will be responsible for parts of the on-site construction management. The Construction site team is managing and monitoring the tunnel contract works, i.e. producing the tunnel elements, making the tunnel elements ready for immersion, handling tunnel elements offshore, and finalizing works inside the immersed tunnel. As a Construction Area Manager, you will gain in-depth insight into our mega immersed tunnel project within our Technical Division.

As our new Construction Area Manager for Injection and Outfitting on site, you will be accountable for compliance checks and reporting across critical works, including water stop injection, installation of sealing systems, casting of walkways and ballast concrete, and installation of structural components required for immersion.

Your Key Tasks Will Include:

  • Execution method report reviews
  • Plan the site inspections and focus points
  • On-site monitoring of contractors’ performance and reporting of progress
  • Ensuring that construction risks, health, and safety matters are properly handled by the contractor
  • Coordination with the Contractor
  • Coordination and reporting across the project matrix organization
Your Profile

You have a degree in civil engineering or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in heavy civil works including experience with on-site supervision.

Technical

Experience:

  • Knowledge of injection and grouting of chemical resins, including polyurethane and epoxy
  • Casting of concrete structures

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Strong engineering skills within heavy civil works’ structures
  • Team Player
  • Flexible and open-minded
  • Dynamic and agile – Ability to work with multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, are crucial. Reviews and communications will be conducted in English. Danish or German language skills are an advantage.
