Project ScopeThe Site Safety Manager will support a short-term project at an operational Amazon facility in Union City, GA. This role will oversee safety activities during preliminary work associated with electrical conduit installation and the installation of conveyor belt systems.
The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining compliance with site-specific safety requirements, monitoring contractor activities, conducting field audits, and ensuring safe execution of work around active operations. Particular emphasis will be placed on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, electrical safety practices, and hazard recognition in a fast-paced industrial environment.
The Site Safety Manager will work closely with project leadership and field personnel to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of safety throughout all phases of the project.
Qualifications- BA in Health and Safety with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- CSP or CHST certification with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- OSHA 510 with a minimum of 7 years of experience
- Experience supporting industrial or construction environments
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety practices
- Own laptop or tablet
- Minimum of 3 LOTO tags
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to work at an active operational facility
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as scheduled
- Monitor daily field activities to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements and electrical safety standards
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns as needed
- Provide safety guidance and support to contractors and project personnel
- Maintain safety documentation and project records
- Participate in daily planning and coordination meetings
- Identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective actions promptly
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
