This two-week residency is aimed at visual artists with parental responsibilities who live in Munich or elsewhere in Europe. It offers a flexible, supportive programme specifically designed to respond to the needs and realities of artist-parents. This residency combines individual mentoring, professional workshops, studio visits, and a public final presentation at HABIBI Kiosk and online.
Residency Periods
- First session: 2–17 March 2026
- Second session: 18–31 March 2026
Artists based in Munich will share the studio with international participants but will sleep at home and will not be required to work on weekends.
The International Artists will have a double room in a shared apartment with other artists at HALLE 6. The room is big enough for a family to come and the organisation will make sure it’s safe for children and all the age-related facilities for children will be there. The Artists chosen could decide to come alone or with the kids and person who can look after them.
Residency support
- Artist fee: 650 EUR for the duration of the residency (incl. VAT)
- Production budget: 400 EUR per artist
- Parental support allowance: 600 EUR for the duration of the residency
- International artists:
Private double room in shared accommodation at Halle 6 (with space for a partner or caring person and child)
