Job Summary /Basic Function

The Admissions Coordinator supports the university's recruitment and enrollment goals by managing admissions processes, communicating with prospective students, and ensuring timely, accurate handling of applicant materials. This role serves as a primary point of contact for applicants and plays a key part in delivering a smooth, customer‑focused admissions experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Program Coordinator to work in Wilberforce, OH office
  • Provides administrative support to faculty and acts as liaison between faculty, students, and other universities
  • Assists in monitoring, processing, and reporting of student applications
  • Works closely with students to continuously evaluate their learning experience and improve quality and value of the program
  • Registers students for courses using University procedures and systems
  • Acts as an academic advisor for students in the program and as a career advisor for prospective and continuing students
  • Develops strategic partnerships with external entities and organizations
  • Creates monthly budget reports to ensure operations are within plan
  • Assists with database maintenance and enrollment management
  • Ensures administrative processes and associated forms for instructor services are completed in a timely manner
  • Responds to various instructor requests and telephone, email, and internet submissions for all programs
  • Prepares faculty payroll for the program
  • Plans and participates in open houses/orientation for the department
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets
  • Provides general support for the day‑to‑day operations of the Admissions Office
  • Assists with the development, organization, and execution of Admissions programs to achieve its mission, goals, and objectives
  • Demonstrates familiarity with university policies and procedures and ensures compliance
  • Uses established systems and tools proficiently to execute established admission policies and procedures
  • Assists in the recruitment of students to Central State University
  • Engages and on‑boards new students
  • Processes applications to Central State University
  • First contact with prospective students, ensuring successful transition and integration
  • Acquires, processes, and enrolls qualified candidates to CSU
  • Establishes and maintains a pipeline of candidates to the university
  • Assists processing department in completing the enrollment process
  • Makes outbound calls to prospective candidates
  • Sets appointments for in‑person interviews for likely prospects
  • Provides overview of CSU and available programs
  • Follows up on general questions, enrollment, financial aid documentation, registration, orientation, and class
  • Performs administrative processing functions including development of the student's permanent records, completing and/or assisting students with required forms
  • Ensures file is complete when transitioning to Financial Aid and Academic departments
  • Ensures readiness for orientation
  • Coordinates with Financial Aid Administrators, when necessary
  • Learns curriculum and new program offerings
  • Supports Slate Dean and processing department as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Commitment to the University's core values
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered
