Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Psychology Department at Kenyon College invites applications for a tenure-track position in clinical, counseling, or community psychology. We seek candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching and a research program in which undergraduates can participate. The standard teaching expectation is 5 courses per year, which will include courses related to psychological health and counseling. Other courses will depend on the candidate’s interests, but could include a year-long senior seminar in which students are guided to conduct their own research projects.

We seek candidates with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring who prioritize active and inclusive pedagogies.

1) a cover letter discussing prior teaching experience and scholarship;
2) a statement of teaching experience and philosophy (which should include ways in which issues and practices related to diversity, inclusion, and equity have been or will be applied to teaching and mentoring);

5) a graduate school transcript; and
6) contact information for three recommenders. Full consideration will be given to candidates who complete submission of materials by 10/15. A Ph.D is preferred; however, applicants who are ABD will be considered.
