At Eager Enrichment
, we have been inspiring young minds since 2008 through high‑quality, hands‑on after‑school programs. Our Eager Engineers curriculum brings STEM concepts to life for thousands of elementary students through engaging building projects using LEGO®, K'NEX®, and other creative materials.

Job Summary

As our programs continue to expand, we are seeking one dedicated instructor to lead after‑school STEM classes. In this role, you will guide up to 20 elementary students through an hour of structured, interactive learning that fosters creativity, collaboration, and problem‑solving. Passion for Legos, STEM, and working with children is essential. Pay is $40 per class.

Responsibilities
  • Lead engaging STEM classes for elementary students (Grades 1‑5) across three local elementary schools in Lewis Center, Ohio. Use Eager Enrichment's “no‑fail” teaching approach to help students understand that mistakes are part of learning.
  • Create a positive, well‑organized learning environment for up to 20 students, promoting respectful behavior and providing structured, supportive lessons.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Accurately track attendance and confidently use scheduling and communication apps.
Position Details

Olentangy Schools:
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Classes begin at 3:20 pm
. Arrival times: 3:25 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 3:20 pm on Thursdays.

Requirements
  • Availability:
    Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons during the school year, starting in January. No weekend or holiday work.
  • Position consists of three one‑hour classes per week; not suitable for those seeking more than 3 hours per week.
  • Prior experience working with children (Grades 1‑5) preferred, but a strong desire to work with elementary‑age students is essential.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds for short periods (moving blocks to a dolly).
  • Comfortable using mobile apps for communication and scheduling.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from school sites.
  • 18 years of age or older.

You’ll receive training in our award‑winning STEM education method, along with weekly project videos. Projects are fresh and never repeated, keeping learning exciting for both you and your students.

  • Working toward or holding a college degree.
  • 1‑2+ years of experience working with children.
  • Genuine love of Legos and building.
