This role is for a full-time position requiring 40+ hours per week.
Responsibilities- Apply critical engineering and management thinking
- Weld Mapping
- Quantity tracking
- Take Offs
- Weld Inspections
- Material Search
- Assist in development and implementation of safety plans
- Conduct site audits and material testing and analysis
- Perform inventory checks, daily field engineering tests, and cost analyses
- Complete change order preparations and production tracking
- Assist with drawings (method/field) estimating, scheduling, and surveying
- Support with procurement and quality assurance reviews
- Maintaining files and records, copying, and scanning
- Process charts/graphs, designs, and proposals
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed
- Relevant coursework:
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, or related program at time of internship, with sophomore year completed - Leadership potential, problem-solving ability, and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Construction Management skills
- Regular use of hands and fingers; able to stand, walk, and sit; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
- Good vision abilities and ability to adjust focus
- Occasional exposure to moving machinery, high places, outdoor conditions, fumes or chemicals; must use PPE as required
- Typical noise level is moderate to high
