The purpose of this effort is to provide Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot (OID) support for all series of F‑15 and F‑16 Jet engines and modules.
Shift Schedule- Day (First) shift: 0645 – 1730;
Monday – Thursday; 45‑minute lunch break. - Night (Second) shift: 1700 – 0345;
Monday – Thursday; 45‑minute dinner break.
- Repair engines, sheet metal, and structural, hydraulic, electrical, powertrain and general mechanical maintenance of moderate difficulty.
- Provide input to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage preparation (ECOD), and assist in the recommendation of changes.
- Prioritize workloads and lead teams through complex aircraft relevant tasks;
Mechanic IIs can inspect Mechanic IIs and Is. - Maintain repairs and modify aircraft structures and components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
- Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems, interpret blueprints and manufacturer’s manuals to solve moderate to complex problems.
- Have thorough knowledge of troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts; broad knowledge of sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.
- Understand electrical theory; use aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers.
- Use technical publications; may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
- Prioritize workload to maintain project schedules.
- Specialization may be required in sheet‑metal, electric work, avionics, or other aircraft systems.
- Thorough knowledge and maintenance experience of turbo jet engines.
- Specialization in sheet‑metal, electric work, avionics, or other turbine jet engine and/or aircraft systems disciplines, including turbine jet engine blade blending and borescope experience.
