Team Lead Structural Metal & Composite Engineering - Aerospace

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The What: As a Team Lead Engineer at Blackwave, you’ll lead the technical development of next-generation composite systems, driving innovation from first concept to flight-ready production. Your leadership will ensure that our advanced composite structures are not only technically outstanding but also reliable and built to perform in the toughest aerospace environments.

• Command collaboration

  Unite and inspire a multidisciplinary team across design, materials, FEM, tooling, and production, ensuring alignment and technical synergy.

• Build the framework: Establish systems and processes that enable transparent development documentation, efficient workflows, and smooth transfer from engineering to production.

• Mentor and empower:Develop your crew’s technical capabilities through coaching, feedback, and hands‑on problem‑solving to ensure continuous growth and innovation.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  , Aerospace Engineering
  , or a related technical field
• At least 4 years of professional experience in product or process development, ideally in composites, lightweight structures, or aerospace manufacturing
• Proven leadership or advanced project management experience in technical environments
• Strong knowledge of material behavior

  , and manufacturing processes
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with a structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented mindset
• Fluent in English (C1/C2);
  German is also nice to have for on‑site collaboration
