Third Engineer

United Offshore Support GmbH is one of the main Global Players in the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry with Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels operating worldwide. A team of Professionals runs the fleet from its Head Quarters in Leer, Germany, ranging from Ship management, Technical, QHSE, Commercial, Financial, and HR Departments.

As a Third Engineer, you will be responsible for helping the Chief Engineer and the Second Engineer in respect of all works on board in order to arrange a satisfactory technical condition of ship’s engine, hull and all technical devices. As detailed by the Chief Engineer, you will participate in required engine duties, which includes but is not limited to watch-keeping, maintenance of the vessel’s machinery, tasks to ensure cleanliness and neatness of the Engine Room and maintenance of security of the vessel in accordance with Security Officer instructions.

You will promote a good communication and co-operation amongst the crew members and you ensure, that the Chief Engineer is fully informed about all ongoing at all times.

As a candidate for the Third Engineer, you have the following attributes:

• Third Engineer Certificate of Competency (A-III/1)
• Minimum 6 months experience as Third Engineer on board of any type of vessel
• All sea-related certificates up to date (incl. Security Awareness Training)
• A safety driven approach to all tasks on board the vessel
• Understand and maintain a PTW, RA, JSA and Tool box talk system
• Knowledge of Planned Maintenance Systems
