Motorsport Test Technician

This opportunity blends mechanical expertise, data instrumentation, customer coordination, and real‑world vehicle testing—ideal for a detail‑driven professional with a passion for ATVs, SxSs, and motor sport performance.

• Hourly Rate: $24.11-$29.11
• Travel Requirement: Approximately 25‑30%

• Support the research team through planning, coordination, communication, and vehicle data instrumentation
• Install and troubleshoot data acquisition equipment on customer vehicles
• Communicate with customers via email and phone to confirm interest, availability, and visit details
• Coordinate and align multiple customer visits for efficient data collection trips
• Create detailed travel itineraries, including flights, hotels, rental cars, and logistics
• Ride and drive ATVs and side‑by‑side at closed test courses and approved public/private locations
• Perform vehicle testing in accordance with defined test procedures and requirements
• Assemble and disassemble complete vehicles using engineering drawings and service manuals
• Conduct vehicle maintenance, inspections, and basic diagnostics
• Identify, document, and clearly communicate test concerns or issues to project leaders
• Perform vehicle teardown for part confirmation and sub‑component evaluation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment

• Strong mechanical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Electrical systems troubleshooting experience with powersports vehicles (ATV/SxS/Dirt Bike)
• Demonstrated passion for powersports products
• Experience riding and/or repairing ATVs and SxSs preferred
• Professional communication skills with a customer‑service mindset
• Ability to multitask, track test equipment, and procure components as needed
• Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills
• Ability to follow defined test procedures and ask questions when clarity is needed
• Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment

  Experience:
  
  6+ years of closely related experience, or an associate degree with 4+ years of related experience
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, reach, push/pull equipment, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., sit, stand, and drive vehicles
