Arcadis is seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team within the North America Places group. We are expanding a multi‑disciplinary team across North America, and this key location‑based role will help us grow our presence in the region.

Role DescriptionThe Engineering Team at Arcadis is expanding, and we have a new opportunity for a Civil Engineer PE or an EIT (who is ready to take their PE exam) to join our Land/Site Development Team in our Columbus, Ohio office. For this hybrid role we are looking for a civil engineer with experience in large, complex civil development projects—such as hospitals, airports, residential neighborhoods, shopping complexes, and educational campuses.

- Assist and participate in the execution of design tasks for civil infrastructure/site development projects, focusing on public and private sector developments.
- Work directly with a project team to assist with the completion of construction documents and related activities.
- Civil engineering design, including site layout, roadway layout, site grading and drainage, utility sizing and layout, storm water management design, including design of retention/detention facilities.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and ensure effective communication and problem‑solving.
- Work with municipalities on permits.
- 3 or more years working on civil development projects for the private and/or public sector.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant national/state standards and codes of practice.
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification or EIT working toward the PE exam.
- Experience working with internal or external teams and stakeholders, and can develop positive relationships with all parties.
