Role SummaryThe Avionics Equipment Specialist Support Senior will primarily support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center WAM (AFLCMC/WAM) directorate, F‑16 division at Wright Patterson AFB, OH, and will provide technical content management for avionics systems and technical operations (TOs) covering field and depot level maintenance operations, repair inspection, and testing of the complete weapon systems.
Responsibilities- Assist in troubleshooting avionics systems, developing improvements, and resolving issues identified with fielded and fielding systems across radar, controls and displays, data bus, communications, navigation, identification, electronic warfare, sensor systems, and other systems and components defined in program requirements.
- Act as the technical content manager for assigned avionics systems and TOs.
- Assist in establishing requirements and preparing TCTOs and TOs for both field and depot level maintenance operations.
- Perform verifications of technical data as a member of the technical verification team and pre/post‑publication review group to determine technical accuracy of data and proper sequence of the technical content.
- Minimum of an active Secret security clearance.
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a related field and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, with at least five (5) years in DoD; OR Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of twelve (12) years of experience, with five (5) years in DoD; OR a minimum of fifteen (15) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, with eight (8) years in DoD.

Minimum of ten years F‑16 aircraft maintenance experience and experience in aircraft avionics development, integration, and sustainment specific to the F‑16 aircraft.
