As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer Community Banking Technology team, you are an integral part of a group that develops high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platform products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.

Job responsibilities
  • Represent a product family of technical governance bodies
  • Provide feedback and propose improvements to architecture governance practices
  • Guide evaluation of current technology and lead evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks
  • Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
  • Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Debit/Credit Card Payment processing systems and Card Lifecycle management systems is a plus.
  • Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in‑depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud‑native experience
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience in the payment card industry, specifically within acquiring, network or issuer segments of the value chain
  • Issuer‑side experience strongly preferred as it aligns with Chase's core business
  • Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD) is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
