Thorough knowledge of engineering design & development concepts of automotive closures system.
Very good proficiency in CATIA V5/V6.
At least 3+ years of proven experience designing high-volume closures assembly/parts.
Development of door outer panel (A‑Surface) in collaboration with OEM Design Studio, Design Engineering, CAE, etc.
Development of latch reinforcements, intrusion beam, hinge reinforcement, door inner panel and other structural panels.
Work with Closures Mechanisms team to package latch system.
Ability to create and complete sheet‑metal parts e.g. brackets, panels, sash, etc.
Design of automotive component parts in CATIA V6: experience in creating 3D designs and 2D drawings.
Actively engage with Automotive OEM design engineers to collaborate on design projects.
Collaborate with key closures system and sheet‑metal component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events.
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year.
