American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Product Development Engineer for Automotive Accessories in Raymond, OH. You will lead end-to-end engineering development of genuine vehicle accessories from concept definition through first article inspection to achieve QCD targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Product Planning to define vehicle accessory lineups that drive sales and profitability.
- Partner with tier-1 accessory suppliers to ensure designs achieve predetermined cost and quality targets.
- Coordinate with base vehicle (CBU) engineering teams to ensure seamless fitment, aesthetics, and ease of installation.
- Create and manage integrated engineering project schedules, tracking deliverables to tight milestones.
- Ensure comprehensive dealer installation instructions and technical manuals are completed on time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the automotive or powersports industry.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, technical blueprint reading, and vehicle packaging data.
- Strong project management, supplier collaboration, and technical communication abilities.
- Understanding of automotive accessory manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, electronics).
