For our current in-house game project, which is set in a science fiction world with a focus on story and combat, we are looking for a Senior Combat / Gameplay Designer (f/m/d) with a good sense of aesthetics, light and composition. Work closely with our art, design, and programming teams to breathe life into our game ideas.
Within the game project you will mainly work with the game engine Unity.

• You have several years of professional experience as a Gameplay or Combat Designer, preferably on action or RPG titles
• You possess strong expertise in Unity, including prototyping and implementing gameplay mechanics
• You have a keen sense for Soulslike combat systems, particularly regarding timing, hit feedback, difficulty curves, and risk-reward design
• You bring solid experience in collaborating with the animation department — movesets, root motion, and timing are second nature to you
• You have a strong understanding of how to leverage VFX & SFX to enhance the impact and readability of attacks and abilities
• You already have experience in balancing abilities, weapons, and enemies
• You are skilled in designing encounters and boss fights, including dramaturgy, phase design, and player guidance
• You have the ability to document complex systems and communicate them clearly to the team
• As a team player, you are open-minded and integrate well into existing teams
• You demonstrate self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and the drive to grow with us while quickly adapting to new tasks
• You have excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written
• 40 hours per week
