Base pay range$65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
ASM International is seeking an Accountant who will play a key role in ASM’s daily financial operations and overall financial integrity. Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, supporting audit requirements, and assisting with Business Lines as needed. The accountant will actively participate in the month‑end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
The role will also support special financial projects and provide assistance with accounts payable, the accounting close cycle, and budgeting activities.
- Assist Controller with all aspects of month end close, including Journal Entries and Reconciliations.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Manage Fixed Asset module including Reconciliation, reporting and analyzing Capital Expenditures.
- Assist in the annual audit process.
- Maintain and reconcile daily cash and bank activity.
- Assist with ad‑hoc financial reports and projects on an as‑needed basis for use both inside and outside the organization
- Assist with Sales & Use Tax activity
- Backup role to Accounts Payable Clerk during high volume periods or absence.
- Be involved with annual 1099 process
- Backup role to Controller with regard to some financial work
- Applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) practices to ASM transactions and reporting.
- Assist Financial Management to ensure Organization compliance to ASM Financial Policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, OR equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with a strong understanding and application of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to learn and navigate financial software systems.
- Knowledge of Acumatica and Avalara are preferred
- Strong communication skills with a customer service–oriented approach.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Non‑profit accounting experience preferred.
- US Citizenship/ Green Card work authorization is required.
