Tax Accountant | Global Consumer Goods Business | Berlin | Germany

We are actively recruiting a tax accountant to join a growing team at our client’s location in Berlin. Numerous international entities within the group, along with a team of tax professionals, prepare tax returns, filings, and assessments, liaise with authorities, and issue certificates.

• Tax reporting for quarterly and consolidated financial statements under IFRS/local tax law for budgeting and forecasting processes throughout the year
• Calculating tax payments on account and the tax charges for Corporate Income Tax, Property, Sales, etc.
• Ensure Transfer Pricing policies and documents are reviewed to ensure compliance (with relevant local and Corporate documentation)
• Support the completion of VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales reporting and submissions for group companies.
• Preparation of the monthly VAT advance returns and the preparation of the statements
• Contribute to completing statutory IFRS/local GAAP accounts under German GAAP, including the audit process to satisfy statutory and corporate requirements.

• Ideally, you will be degree-qualified in Tax, Accounting or Finance and working towards some industry qualification such as Steuerberater (Stb)/ACCA/CTA.
• Preferably, you will have 2-4 years of solid tax exposure with some direct operational tax experience in a large corporate tax consultancy or tax department.
• You will have direct experience with European or international tax law/GAAP, corporation tax, and IFRS reporting and accounting standards.
• Business English is essential; other language skills are helpful (for example, Croatian, Hungarian, Romanian, Ukrainian)
