Family Caregiver Peer Support Volunteer

Courage to Caregivers is a nonprofit organization founded in 2017 to provide education, support, and empowerment for caregivers and loved ones of those living with mental illness.

We offer three programs:
One-to-One Caregiver Peer Support
, Professionally-led Support Groups
, and Breathing Meditation Classes
. Our One-to-One Caregiver Peer Support program connects caregivers with trained volunteers who have experience caring for someone with a mental illness, providing them with support and resources to help them take care of themselves both physically and emotionally.

We are seeking volunteers with experience caring for a spouse or a child to provide personalized, one-to-one support to assigned caregivers. Volunteers will listen, care, share personal experiences, and empower caregivers to have hope. Training is available through a series of training videos, and volunteers will be provided with a guide containing community resources and ongoing support throughout the program.

Due to our insurance limitations, we are only able to support volunteers in North America over the age of 18. Support is provided virtually, and volunteers and participants live throughout the United States.
