Role Description

This is a full‑time role for a Counselor/Social Worker in Fostoria, OH. The Counselor/Social Worker will provide professional counseling services, including evaluating clients' mental health and substance use needs, creating and implementing treatment plans, and conducting individual, group, or family therapy sessions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate client records, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and providing support in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.

The role also involves staying updated on best practices and current trends in mental health treatment.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in counseling, therapy, and mental health assessment
• Skills in client evaluation, treatment planning, and crisis intervention
• Proficiency in documentation, record‑keeping, and ethical standards adherence
• Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with individuals, families, or groups in a therapeutic setting
• Familiarity with diverse populations and cultural competency
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
