Job Title: Sr. Medical Affairs Specialist, Global Medical Communications
OverviewInsulet Corporation is an innovative medical device company dedicated to simplifying the lives of people living with diabetes. The Medical Affairs team provides medical expertise to inform research and development, evidence generation and data dissemination, professional engagement, and medical education to advance our mission. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Medical Affairs, Global Medical Communications, and will leverage clinical and disease state expertise to communicate the clinical value of Omnipod’s data, collaborating with Clinical and Commercial cross-functional teams to influence strategy and product use.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver medical responses to healthcare providers’ off-label inquiries on a global scale, requiring knowledge of local regulations and translations, and Insulet’s product line.
- Review global clinical promotional materials to ensure medical accuracy, compliance, and alignment with regional regulations and industry guidelines.
- Strategize and inform the development of evidence generation plans to provide meaningful data, support expansion of claims and indications, and satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate the implementation of data management systems with external vendors to ensure compliance and optimized functionality.
- Develop and execute data dissemination plans to communicate the clinical value of Omnipod products to internal and external audiences, including healthcare providers, people with diabetes, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Analyze evidence related to diabetes therapies, standards of care, and technologies to inform product development and commercial and regulatory strategies.
- Collaborate with Clinical and Regulatory Affairs on the development of clinical summaries for regional regulatory submissions on a global scale.
- Develop clinical quality standards ensuring procedures reflect current practices and initiatives align with global standards.
- Strategize and execute plans for international, national, and local scientific conferences (e.g., presentations, reports, medical information booths).
- Provide mentorship to Medical Affairs interns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate the clinical value of the Omnipod line in a scientifically accurate way that meets global regulatory requirements.
- Interpret business issues and recommend best practices to ensure efficient delivery of global off-label information to healthcare providers via the Medical Information channel.
- Proven leadership skills through the development and management of projects with cross-functional teams.
