Responsibilities:- Provides a wide range of complex, routine, and administrative support to help ensure departmental goals are achieved efficiently.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for People Operations.
- Acting as a liaison between leadership and employees, the People Operations Generalist ensures alignment with company policies, core values, and overall business objectives.
- Serve as the main People Operations contact supporting leadership and employees.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by encouraging open communication, employee recognition, and engagement activities.
- Coach and mentor employees, offering guidance on HR practices and company policies aligned with Versova values.
- Assist in investigating employee complaints and concerns, ensuring timely and compliant resolutions.
- Mediate and resolve grievances, employee relations matters, and workplace conflicts with sensitivity and alignment to company goals.
- Track and analyze People Operations metrics (e.g., KPIs) to assess initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and update HRIS and personnel files to ensure accuracy and compliance with employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.).
- Support the development, communication, and implementation of company policies and procedures.
- Assist in delivering leadership training, professional development programs, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Manage recruitment for farm-level positions, including job postings, interviews, and the selection process.
- Participate in college fairs and recruitment events as needed.
- Partner with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to support company-wide hiring efforts.
- Supervise one direct report, supporting their development and ensuring successful completion of assigned tasks.
- Contribute to strategic projects and initiatives that support company values and operational goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to help advance People Operations objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a professional setting.
- Active PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience with in employee relations, HR administration and policy development.
- Experience with HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Understanding of federal and state employment laws.
