Spherion is hiring a dynamic, experienced, and self-directed Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions for a 90+ employee organization in Weston, OH. Operating as a highly visible department of one, this role is responsible for balancing daily hands-on execution with long-term strategic workforce initiatives. Serving as the sole HR leader onsite, you will partner directly with executive leadership to cultivate a workplace culture rooted in respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This is an essential role for a trusted advisor and practitioner who can manage everything from payroll oversight and compliance to recruitment and workforce planning.

• Strategic Advisory:
  Serve as the primary HR advisor to leadership, providing guidance on workforce planning, organizational development, and succession strategy.
• Payroll & Benefits:
  Manage the payroll process via Paychex and administer all group health, dental, vision, life, and 401(k) plans.
• Employee Relations:
  Champion a culture of respect and accountability, maintaining a regular presence on the production floor to build relationships and proactively address concerns.
• Talent Management:
  Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, interviewing, offer negotiation, and value-based onboarding.
• Labor Relations:
  Support union contract administration and assist in negotiations as needed.
• Compliance:
  Ensure adherence to DOL, FLSA, OSHA, EEOC, FMLA, and other federal/state regulations.
• Performance & Development:
  Coordinate annual performance evaluations and identify training initiatives to build workforce capability.

Working hours:

6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Direct experience with Paychex systems.

• High School

• 7-10 years

• Experience in manufacturing or union environments.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive HR experience.
• At least 3 years of payroll oversight or processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance standards.
• Experience or comfortability operating independently.
