Position: Site Reliability Engineer (all genders)
Location: Germany

In a part of our Social Dating & Video segment we rely on a real-time, high-quality video platform – and your mission as a Site Reliability Engineer (all genders) is to keep it fast, stable, and scalable. You’ll work closely with mainly US based (East Coast) backend, infrastructure, and video engineering teams to run and continuously improve our AWS-based streaming systems.

Your contribution ensures that thousands of users across our brands enjoy reliable, low-latency live experiences – every single day.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Several years of experience running latency-sensitive, high-traffic production systems – ideally with a video or streaming focus.
  • Solid experience with AWS infrastructure (especially ECS, Cloud Formation/CDK, Terraform).
  • Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Type Script for automation and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD tooling (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Good understanding of Rabbit

    MQ, Redis, MySQL, Postgre

    SQL.
  • Familiarity with Java and Node.js-based environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of Git Hub Actions, Type Script, and CDK.
  • Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Sentry).
  • Understanding of CDN and edge delivery strategies.
  • Familiarity with video streaming protocols (e.g. RTMP, HLS, WebRTC).
  • Experience working in agile product teams with Scrum and Dev Ops principles.

  • Real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements to streaming stability.
  • Building automation tools that simplify deployments, monitoring, and failover processes.
  • Collaboration with backend and video engineers to design fault-tolerant, scalable systems.
  • Involvement in postmortems and service level planning (SLAs/SLOs).
  • Participation in an on-call rotation.
