Lead Developer (all-in-one-security) – Word Press
Base pay range: $40,000.00/yr – $75,000.00/yr
At Team Updraft our DNA is in world‑leading software for Word Press that helps our customers backup, restore, clone, secure and optimize their Word Press websites. Our plugins are used by more than 5 million Word Press owners worldwide.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Developer to join us. To be successful you will have deep knowledge and experience developing Word Press, and a passion for security with demonstrable experience in this area.
Work 32‑40 hours per week on your own schedule, fully remote. You must be available for at least 4 hours of overlap with UK working hours each day.
Day‑to‑Day Role- Work in PHP, JavaScript and Word Press libraries to write clean, efficient and secure code
- Line‑manage the plugin development team
- Ensure tasks are appropriately assigned, reviewed and completed by the team
- Maintain high technical standards in the code base
- Utilise senior developer's knowledge to guide the plugin’s direction
- Identify priorities and resolve blockers
- Act as the key point of contact for technical queries related to the plugin
- Liaise with QA and Product Managers to align development work with broader business goals
Your exact responsibilities will depend on your experience and how this fits with the rest of the team, and will be discussed and agreed with you.
Requirements- Proven experience with PHP and Word Press plugin development
- Solid knowledge of Java Script
- Strong background in online security, staying current with threats and security issues that affect websites
- Experience with firewalls or other related security technologies
- Experience managing other developers
It would be nice if you have experience with Git Hub, Git Lab or other version‑control systems (Git, SVN).
