EDW QA Lead

Overview

This contract-to-hire role requires onsite presence 4 days a week, with a target salary of $100,000–$105,000. The position is based in Columbus, OH.

• Lead quality assurance efforts for multiple concurrent projects focused on data ingestion and integration, ensuring alignment with banking regulatory standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable and secure data operations.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, project managers and compliance teams to ensure data quality, integrity and traceability throughout the ingestion lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes.
• Design and implement a scalable test automation framework and strategy.
• Create daily/weekly test execution metrics and status reporting.
• Assist Project Managers/Scrum Masters to drive the project team toward defect resolution.
• Leverage existing tools and techniques to streamline and automate wherever possible.
• Actively participate in walkthrough, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assurance.
• Actively participate in the review of project requirements, data mappings and technical design specifications.

• 5+ years of QA experience, ideally in a data warehouse.
• Heavy SQL skill.
• Experience with automation tools such as Pytest BDD, Cucumber and Gherkin (Python proficiency is a bonus).
• Background with Azure Dev Ops, Python, AWS S3, Snowflake, Zena and Data Stage is desirable.
• Strong understanding of banking regulatory standards and data governance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salary range: $45.00–$60.00 per hour. Contract to hire position. Eligible benefits available for temporary role may vary.
